Front Range Community College student Sheri Dron speaks with representatives of Woodward, Inc., Monday, May 20, 2013 during a machinist job fair that featured about 25 companies. She and her husband, Ken, began renovating their home in Fort Collins in 2006, and were adding a work station in the basement. Ken, who worked at St. Vrain Manufacturing, Inc., in Longmont, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 21, 2012. "The thing that would give me the greatest joy would be to complete what he started," said Dron, so she enrolled in the machinist program at FRCC when it began in January. She is hoping to find a company to work for while she finishes her education. Dron currently works a temporary job with Whip Mix, a machinist company in Fort Collins. Dron had been married to Ken for 32 years.
