Taken from Gorak Shep early one windy morning, this is Nuptse Mountain. Nuptse is a mountain in the Khumbu region of the Mahalangur Himal, in the Nepalese Himalayas. It lies two kilometres WSW of Mount Everest. Gorak Shep or Gorakshep is a frozen lakebed covered with sand in Nepal, and also the name of the small village that sits at its edge at 5,164 m elevation, near Mount Everest.
