Standing in the driveway. Looking straight up.
It really was low. I was afraid it was going down in the gated community two blocks away. I needed to capture something truly wonderful. I needed to walk away from the sadness of this move and find my creative niche. This was one of many mini blessings to float my way lately.
Hot Air Balloons are certainly not an unusual occurrence in Albuquerque. Not even standing in my driveway to take adequate images of them is unusual. Yet this one was truly awesome. I will miss this kind of thing happening when I move.
Friday I received an unexpected check. It was exactly what i needed, right now, to rent a storage unit and pay some bills. Saturday, I rented a storage unit and Jeddy and i began hauling boxes over to it in my little Neon. After we unloaded the first nine boxes and were driving home for the next load, Jeddy said, "I guess we are officially moving now." Yeah, I think so.
We got around 50-boxes moved on Saturday and Sunday. Sorted boxes for storage, our temporary home with Malarky, garage sale and threw away trash and the Fed-Ex guy across the street took one load of furniture to Spencer's for me :-)
