Thunder Mountain Line - Horseshoe Bend We were on the Thunder Mountain Line's Horseshoe Bend Route. This route began in historic Horseshoe Bend and traveled along the scenic Payette River through the Boise National Forest. The railroad provideed views of the white water activities of the South Fork of the Payette River that has become popular with kayakers and rafters. It stopped in Banks where we had a "Chuck Wagon Dinner." [B]
