    • 4-20-13 This is the clock on the City of Bellevue building. This was converted using Silver Effex Pro. I started with Film Noir 1, a preset I never used before.

    • 4-18-13 Sky Reflections on the building where I started working on Monday. This is in Bellevue, Washington. I converted this image in Silver Effex Pro 2 and toned with cyanotype.
    • 4-17-13 This is a 68 sec exposure looking down at a stream flowing through to the ocean.
    • 4-16-13 High key long exposure. This was taken at the same time as yesterday's image. I am still experimenting for my class. This exposure was 216 sec and I processed this s a high key rather than Low key. Thoughts?
    • 4-15-13 This is a 15 sec long expsure taken on the Cental Oregon Coast at Strawberry Hill looking north.
    • 4-14-13 Storm light at Heceta Lighthhouse Park, Oregon
    • 4-9-13 Looking to Haystack - another image for my long exposure class taken yesterday. This is 414 sec (almost 7 min).
    • 4-8-13 Rockaway Beach, Oregon - this was taken earlier in the early evening about 2 hours before sunset. The weather on the coast has been stormy. This was shot with my nikon 1 V1 and processed in LR4., CS6, and Topaz Adjust 5.
    • 4-10-13 This is another long exposure shot taken at Tillamook Bay and processed with Silver Effex Pro Antique Plate.this s a 288 sec exposure (almost 5 min). I wanted to silence the clouds. Thanks for making my Onwards to Haystack Rick the number one image of the day. I appreciate your support. I do not know where The Needles are from this viewpoint.
    • 4-7-13 Tillamook Bay, Oregon. This was taken at the same time as the image I posted yesterday. I used my Lee Big Stopper for 10 stops of ND compared to 13 stops. I am taking a long exposure class where I am earning to vary the exposures. I think I like the 30 sec exposure better than the 357 sec exposure http://www.ilenesamowitz.com/Photo-A-Day/PAD2013/i-ckkRpZ8/0/M/20130406-_IS04253-M.jpg .....what do you think?
    • 4-6-13 Tillamook Bay - down on the Oregon Coast on a windy rainy afternoon. We drove out to Bay Ocean Spit before the rain started pelting. I did some long exposure work for my class/project until I got drops on my filter. I used 13 stops of ND and exposed this image for 357 sec ( almost 6 minutes).
    • 4-5-13 Skagit Barn - I like this barn and have shot this repeatedly. I reprocessed this photo, cropped it, toned it and added a texture from Fly Paper Tintype Collection.
    • 4/4/13 Early blooming tulips in the Skagit.
    • 4/3/13 In the Skagit last weekend, I finished processing this with a flypaper tintype texture.
    • 4/1/13 Tulip Town in Mount Vernon, WA These were the early tulips.
    • 3-31-13 Happy spring. Daffs from Mt Vernon, Skagit, WA. Capital of bulbs. We had a beautiful spring day. Thanks for all the feedback on the ghosting.
    • 4/2/13 Pier 66 long exposure (209 sec)
    • 3-30-13 At the Quad at University of Washington. This area is known for the cherry blossoms. I heard that the trees were in bloom so Doug and I went to do some long exposures. Unknown to us, there was an article about the blossoms on the front page of thevSeattle Times. So the area was teeming with people. This is a 5 min plus exposure converted to black nd white. See all the ghosting? Tell me whether you like this and find this effect interesting? I am doing a lot of experimentation with long exposures for my class.
