Garlic Rice, India. A dinner time treat that is restaurant worthy but is hamemade fare. Golden pan roasted cashews nestle in Jasmine rice that had been generously flavored with garlic, cilantro and peppers. This photo was taken about 2 hrs after the afternoon sun had left my window.

Sugar ready to sell. Balls are crumbled into tea, used in baking, or eaten straight as a sweet treat.

Then they must work quickly to form the hot "dough" into individual balls before it cools and hardens

As it cools, the syrup is scraped
