Athabasca Falls, Jasper National Park, Canada
'Adaptation to survive' - I suspect this tree on the shore of Horseshoe Lake has a lengthy and inspirational story of survival in Jasper National Park. I can almost feel it stretching and moving to glimpse the sun and take in it's warm embrace.
Thin Ice - Horseshoe Lake is just days away from melting in this scene from Jasper National Park. This lake is great for cliff jumping (although dangerous) in the Summer up to around 100 ft!

This view is along the Icefields Parkway, looking south, in the general direction of the Columbia Icefields. I took the shot in November, with fresh snow, but before everything had completely frozen. You can see the highway along the left edge of the photograph.
