We woke up this morning to some awful news out of Orlando. Some wackadoodle shot up a gay club and killed like 50 people. We now have a new worst-ever mass shooting in the US. We spent most of our brunch with David talking about that. There’s gonna be a lot of dumb people to deal with in the coming days.
This afternoon, my peeps came up to Denton and helped us put in our new laundry closet doors! It’s SO NICE having doors that can close all the way, finally. Granny and Mom liked my bread enough to take a loaf home, and we all had a blast hanging out visiting while the doors went in. My dad actually had to take off the top trim to get the doors in, and we found out that somebody textured the walls over some amazingly awful wallpaper! For how large that wall is, the pattern on the wallpaper is crazy small. I can only imagine what this place looked like back in the 80s.
After the doors were complete, we all had dinner at Thai Ocha. If I heard correctly, this was Granny’s first time EVER having Thai food! She seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Can’t go wrong with peanut chicken! Moments after they hit the road, Amanda arrived and it was time for Game of Thrones! This week’s episode was excellent, as they usually are.
Unable to contain our excitement, Emily and I painted the new doors as soon as Amanda left. We need to chill.
