Nice reds in this image, especially in the right 1/4 of the composition. I am longing for a higher camera angle, so we can see more of the red leaves and the flower's pistil (the protruding yellow thing). Right now, all of the shapes are competing for attention; we need one center of attention. Still, love the lighting and the narrow DOF.
Red dominates, and the supporting colors emphasize the red even more. The direction of the light works very well in bringing out textures and define the edges of the green leaves because of the highlights.
Compositionally, the swooping curves takes my eye on a wonderful roller coaster ride and the soft focus of the foreground and background keep me involved with the flowers. However, Because all of the flowers have almost equal importance, I am not sure where to land. Also the green leaf in the center of the frame almost acts like a barrier preventing me to get to the flowers behind it.
