Rhinos at Lake Nakuru
One wouldn't think that rhinos would be a particularly difficult animal to spot in a savanna where most of the grass is only a few feet high. But, unfortunately, they are endangered, and the African plains are massive, so it can require hours, or even days of driving around to spot any. I was able to get quite close to most of the animals I saw on safari, but the closest I was able to get to these rhinos was several hundred yards.
