News of a dear friend’s death on Monday and then hearing that my mother had died on Tuesday, was a double blow this week and I have not handled it well.
I was sitting in my studio trying to find the strength to go out in search of my Peace or Peaceful photo for this week’s challenge. As I looked around, I realized that my studio is the one place I find true peace. So I turned to my thread wall and started shooting. As I started to edit - I realized that some took on different shapes and moods - like dark holes, light shafts and even abstract landscapes.
I chose this for my entry because when I rotated the project - I could see a landscape. One in which the viewer is rushed over the land, into the horizon, and then up, up into a glorious colourful sky. Sort of like the journey through life.
I edited with cropping and then with select color, levels and the clone tool.
