The Pelicans Of Sunset Bay
This is one reason why I love Sunset Bay. The pelicans come from Canada and stay here all winter. They are very close to the wooden pier that you almost have to back up to get a photo. I had to back up to get them all in the shot. Behind them are the double-crested cormorants who also winter in Sunset Bay. Rounding out this shot is a few ring-billed gulls interspersed with the cormorants. To the right of the pelicans, one American coot photo bombed the shot.
