Today was the big library scene. This is one of the few shots that we had planned in detail since the very beginning. I was supposed to have musicians for the book slams, which are playing just like a bass run in drumline, but I got an email an hour before the shoot saying that we wouldn't have any musicians.
No problem! I was able to teach Emily the part last night, so teaching some EAs how to do it should be no big deal.
Well, I got an email 45 minutes before the shoot saying that we would not have any EAs for the shoot either. At that point, the only person we had scheduled was Doug from the library.
My friend Larissa happened to walk by and wave hello. Turns out, she works in Willis on this very floor! She offered to check if any of her coworkers would want to be in the video. Turns out, THEY ALL WANTED TO BE IN THE VIDEO! Lucky, right? So, I taught them all the part and they nailed it. By the time we finished the shot, a few other students had popped up and offered to participate as well. We were able to pull off a second shot with all new faces! Beautiful.
