The Presidential Security Service (SBP) (Russian: Служба безопасности президента России) is a federal government agency concerned with the tasks related to the protection of the President of Russia. It traces its origin to the USSR's Ninth Chief Directorate of the KGB and the beginning it was led by KGB general Alexander Korzhakov.
The Russian Presidential Security Service, although not listed as one of the structural units on the Russian Federal Protective Service's official website. and is a secret protective service of the FSO, who is responsible directly to the President's bodyguard services.
