23.01.13 - Painted Winter

I revisited some of my winter dog walk shots yesterday. I had the idea of a starker B&W painterly look, and after some experimentation with filters in Color Efex Pro I settled on this. The filter is called "Monday Morning", and this has to be seen huge to appreciate the details. I hope you like it too.
22.01.13 - Happy Dog

Mr Willis loves the snow! This is another shot from a couple of days ago, but I only got round to processing it yesterday, I had so many! I'm sure there will be more to come too :)
21.01.13 - Follow that Dog!

Walking the dog in a Winter wonderland yesterday afternoon. Earlier in the morning I'd run through here and knew I had to go back with the camera!
21.01.13 - Narnia!

Fresh snow means more fun, for man and dog, you can just see Mr Willis running ahead in this magical tunnel. This is the long distant footpath known as "The Viking Way", which snakes through several Eastern Counties in England, including a long stretch through Lincolnshire. I use it as a regular running route from home, and I was out here running earlier in the morning, what a magical place.

As Art Hill pointed out yesterday, it is ironic that the UK has a lot more snow than many parts of the US this winter, but I'm not complaining, I love it :)
11.12.12 - The Portal

Not much to say about this image, apart from the fact that I love fog and this is the first time I've had chance to get out in some with the camera for a while. It was a beautiful morning, and I got some great shots of the cathedral across the fog filled valley, one of which is my main Daily today.
20.09.12 - Flight of Fancy

This is a still from a photoshoot back on the 6th, but I couldn't reveal anything of it until now. My friend Jo, who designs and makes spectacular dresses as "Blue Lady Couture" asked me to help out with a project she had to show off some of her wonderful creations. I had to keep the pics under my hat until after a fashion show and a major Steampunk festival that she was showing at. The whole gallery is here;

Jo's husband Scott remarked at the time that "wouldn't it be great if there were dirigibles in the sky over Lincoln", so his wish was my command :)

I injured my back two days ago so haven't taken any pics or posted for a couple of days, this is from the photoshoot back on the 6th that I am only now able to reveal more of. You can see there is a Steampunk theme, and while we were on the Common Jo's husband Scott said "wouldn't it be great if there were dirigibles flying over Lincoln", so I had a look for free wallpapers on the internet and came up with this :)

06.09.12 - Sparkly Things

This is from a photoshoot for a friend yesterday. Jo designs and makes beautiful dresses, some of you will remember this bit of fun we had earlier in the year;

Jo has a major event this weekend, so I'm not allowed to show any of the costumes from this shoot, but I think I can get away with this one of model Heather down by a pond. As usual the conditions were testing, for models as well as photographers, the light was harsh and the wind gusting, but this is the price you pay for shooting outdoors in September, it could have been a lot worse! I've only just started to process the 500+ pics, hopefully I can share more after the weekend, but this one sums up the fun we had :)
10.02.12 - Winter Willis

Another dump of snow, only a couple of inches, but enough to create a Winter Wonderland on Lincoln South Common for me and Mr Willis. Luckily he seems to enjoy it as much as I do.

Thanks for the wonderful comments on my vanishing points watercolour
 yesterday, they were most appreciated. I have so much on this weekend that my own commenting is going to be very limited. It is my weekend for having the twins, so lots of sledging while the snow lasts. But I have also got a photo assignment tomorrow involving a beautiful young actress and a Spitfire aircraft, so I am more than a little excited about that too! Watch this space :)
