Built in the early 1800's, The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although not active in this early morning photograph of The Old Mill the giant water wheel begins turning later in the day. Taken just as the sky is beginning to lighten with the early morning sun, stars are still visible in the early morning sky.
The Pigeon Forge Mill, commonly known as The Old Mill, was built on 1830 by Isaac Love. The mill was part of a larger complex which included a forge. The mill is still in use and some of the grains grounded in it are used by the restaurant next door. Pigeon Forge, TN
