A beautiful morning on the Brisbane river with the rising sun just behind the city giving the sky a nice warm glow. This image is another one in a series of mine where I am exploring the city at its most breath taking moments using the technique of HDR photography.

This cute little alley is the beginning of the philosophers walk, a very famous set of streets in Japan.

"City Entrance" © Luke Zeme 2013

Taken on a bridge looking over the freeway to the entrance of Brisbane, Australia. I shot this one during the morning blue hour at about 5:45am and you'd be surprised at how many cars are on the road at this time as the freeway is constantly flowing.

"The Oil Fields" © Luke Zeme 2013. Nikon D800 + Nikkor 14-24mm

"Golden City" © Luke Zeme 2013. Nikon D800 + Nikkor 14-24mm

"Chinese Lantern Skyline, Brisbane" © Luke Zeme 2013

A set of red lanterns across the pedestrian bridge to Southbank had a dramatic impact on the Brisbane cityscape. I think their pink hue looked really nice reflected on the rivers surface and then up to the clouds.

"GOMA" © Luke Zeme 2013. Nikon D800 + Nikkor 14-24mm

Possibly my favourite building in the country, Australia's Gallery of Modern Art. Although I do have a spot for the state gallery in Sydney, the Art Gallery of New South Wales mainly for it's painting collection which I can spend all day admiring and have seen over 20 times I think. I used to work as an art conservator after I finished art school and the construction of GOMA was an exciting addition for everyone in the arts industry.

"Waterfall Cave" © Luke Zeme 2013

A stunning scene inside the mouth of a cave where a river has carved out a small section of the roof and created a waterfall inside the cave. It was a truly beautiful Australian place down in the valley of a rainforest.
