Around 7:00 p.m. we drove to Case Grande as the radar indicated big storms rolling across I-10. As we drove north there were huge bolts of lightning across the sky. Once we found a place to set up, the storms died out. Feeling dejected we drove back to Tucson. As we approached the town of Marana we noticed a build up in lightning to the west. We found a farm next to a drive in Mexican restaurant, parked in the back to see what would happen. Oh boy, did we receive a treat on our last night. Thank you Mike Olbinski and Ruth Montgomery for a wonderful week of memories, passion for weather and photography. Rita Jimenez told me as we headed back to the hotel that we should rent a house next summer for month, I guess she caught the bug too. We missed some of our Tucson friends on this trip, we will catch you on the next visit as we were so busy racing around Southern Arizona.
