St. John's Mavericks host Episcopal's Knights for JV field hockey at Finnegan Field. SJS's Mavs win 2-0 over EHS.
SJS's Mavericks travel to Hempstead to reprise their match against the Bobcats who they hosted the year before at Skip Lee Field in Houston. The Cats turned the tables this year, winning 31-7.
The Knights of Bellaire's Episcopal High School travel to nearby Skip Lee Field on the St. John's School campus to take on the Mavericks in Varsity SPC conference football. The Mavs win it 35-18, improving to 5-2 (3-0).
St. John's clinches its first champsionship game berth in SPC in 16 years after a 48-0 win over the Dutch of Holland Hall, who have spoiled their last 4 attempts. They will face Kinkaid.
The Lady Mavericks of St. John's School play Lamar's Redskins at a special exhibition event at Toyota Center during the NBA strike on the Rockets' home court. Skins win 57-50
In the 3rd annual War on the Floor wrestling competition, middle and upper-school boys from Kinkaid host St. John's Mavericks under a ring light at Melcher Gymnasium. Kinkaid wins 99-60.
Players and coaches from the last ten years fielded an alumni men's volleyball team at St. John's on Saturday morning for the annual game against the 2012 varsity squad for the Mavs.  The alumni again showed great finesse and shot selection to prevail as in years past as in a set of three close games.
