Hambright Monument - This stone marker denotes the spot where Lt. Colonel Frederick Hambright was wounded leading his North Carolina troops up the hill.  Though serious, the wound did not prove fatal.  In fact, after the war Hambright settled less than a mile from this spot living to the ripe old age of 90...

Ferguson Fell Marker - Major Ferguson, seeing the battle was lost, attempted to escape on horseback but was cut down by rifle fire as he descended the hill.  Adding insult to mortal injury, his foot caught in his stirrup as he fell and his horse drug him the rest of the way down the hill...

U.S. Monument - This 83' stone obelisk was erected by Congress in 1909 on the site of Ferguson's camp in the general area of the final surrender and American victory.  It was constructed "to honor the men who fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain."
