05.24.13 = Flashback Friday - 1957 Family Treasure
I'm digging way back in the family archives today. As I was searching for an image to use today, I came across this one of my mom with her mom and dad. It was taken in the summer of 1957 in Colorado, not long after my parents were married. I know it's not the best image; my mom and grandmother's eyes are closed or squinting, but on the other hand, it is the best image; it's one of the only photographs I have of just the three of them together. Over time it's not about having the best posed images of the people we love, it's about just having that image of them to look back and remember. So this holiday weekend, photograph the ones you love and don't worry so much about the technique but the unique moments that you capture. In 56 years someone will treasure it!
