The Sincerest Form of Flattery
Moonrise
2/4/13 - Moon over Miami, it ain't - Moonrise over the Lazydays RV Park in Tucson. Admittedly not the best setting for a moon shot, but I thought the orange trees and the patio set in the foreground look kinda nice. I was pleased that I was able to get a reasonably good exposure on the moon, while keeping some other detail in the clouds and setting.

Thanks for your comments on my shot of the monastery. Rick Willis thought it was San Xavier del Bac, which I do have a series of shots of, but this is definitely a monastery that is located very close to downtown. Have a great day!
The Moon over Solmar Beach
February 2, 2013 - I drive past this barn every morning on my was to work. And every morning I keep telling myself that I need to stop and photograph it someday. Well, today was that 'someday'. I knew from the orientation of the barn that morning light would be the best time to photograph it. I woke up early on Saturday morning and ventured out into the dark farm field to set up for my shot. When the sun just started to peak over the horizon I captured this image. My faithful companion and partner in crime, Mattie, joined me on this venture.
