I have always been fascinated with Mount St. Helens throughout my life, but I had never before seen the mountain directly from the north until yesterday.
Take a look at the lava dome in the middle of the photo. Mount St. Helens is very actively rebuilding itself, and has come a long way in just 34 years after the 1980 eruption caused the largest recorded landslide in history.
I am consistently awed by nature, and this is a prime example as to why. There truly are no words to describe what this looks like in person.
