A two-car accident occurred at 66 Church Hill Road, at the driveway entrance to the Blue Colony Diner, about 2:17 pm on Friday, May 31. Town and state police, as well as Hook & Ladder firefighters and local ambulance volunteers, responded to the incident, which caused travel delays in the area. Police report that motorist Eduardo Guimaraes, 64, of Bridgeport was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe eastward on Church Hill Road, as motorist D.S. Chaudhary, 28, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima westward coupe there. The Nissan then attempted to make a left turn into the diner’s driveway, but the two vehicles collided, police said. Pratik Marwaha, 24, of Germantown, Md,, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said.
