6/14/2013 ~ Turquoise

This is a Navajo turquoise and silver set I bought in Arizona a few years ago. I love Native American jewelry and art, and try to pick up a piece or two any time I'm in the Southwest. I shot this with the T2i body my son gave me. This is the body I'm going to convert to IR later on this summer. I'm thinking I'll use this body on vacation for video on the trails, since it uses SD, and are so much less expensive than the CF my 5d2 uses. I'm impressed with the IQ of this camera, but the weight (or lack thereof) is going to take some getting used to. I actually felt less steady holding this, I'm so used to weight. I used a Sigma 50mm 2.8 1:1 macro on this, outdoors in full sunlight. I envy people who take good macros. They make it looks so easy, which it most definitely is not!

Thank you for the wonderful comments on yesterday's Edsel shot! I have more from this series I'll be posting from time to time. Yay, it's Friday! Have a great one!
