Charles River Mirror Reflection of Boston Skyline Silhouette at Sunrise with Dinghies
In the summer when the dinghies are out, I’m always on the lookout for calm conditions to get a fresh take. I was able to isolate this cluster and somewhat center the skyline with a very awkward setup and angle. The lighting was very difficult and swapped out a lot of filter combinations. I ended up using a LEE Filters Very-Hard Edge 1.2 GND in conjunction with a Hard-Edge 0.9 GND, for a total of 7 stops on the sky, 3 stops on the water, and 0 stops over most of the dinghies. That was the only way I could retain the highlights on the water and bring the blue out of the jet black water.
