Solar Flare
I set out on a photo taking adventure on the Rimrocks last night. There were a lot of beautiful clouds I was hoping would make for a great sunset shot. Mother Nature seemed to have other plans and decided to let all the clouds disappear leaving a clear blue sky. So I decided not to focus on photography but instead just enjoy the beautiful warm spring evening. As the sun was setting I grabbed my gear to head back to the car when this old tree back lit by the setting sun caught my attention. The sun was going down fast so I frantically set up my camera and tripod and took the shot. I wasn't expecting much but when I reviewed the photo on the camera LCD I was amazed by the sun flare that was captured.
