This is from the Kinetic Race on 5.4.13 in Baltimore.

I believe there are other life forms out there. They might be shaped like amoeba and not humanoid looking, but still life forms.

If they are capable, if nothing else, one day they might come here just to make sure we stop the stereotype of how they look. "So you think I look like this?" Buddy, wanna see what this green laser would do?" Zapp. "Or how about this orange laser?" Zapp.

"What's that? Oh you think we speak English?". Zapp.

I am still curating the photos from that event so perhaps one of these days I post that and also include this guy as part of the Non-Avatar gallery.
The tree design was inspired by a Native American spirit stick art project that a Joplin High School senior Ashley Bilke made for her school. “The Native Americans believe that the spirit sticks their medicine men carry, also called prayer sticks, were especially powerful if chosen from a tree that was struck by lightning,”

The tree is on the ground of where the Dillons store stood before the tornado and the understanding between the Bilke family with the Dillons supermarket chain was it may not be permanent if the chain chooses to rebuild on the same location.
This is in Joplin, Missouri (5.7.13). They called this the Spirit Tree. This is one of the surviving, debarked trees left standing from the EF5, May 22, 2011 tornado that struck this area. The tornado was about a mile wide (1.6 km) and killed about 158 people.

If you are curious, the "Map This" button above will show you the location.
Ashley Bilke said the paint colors represent different things: White is spirit, red is life, yellow is knowledge, black is clarity, blue is prayer, purple is healing, and orange is kinship with other living creatures.
