This is a shot from Samana in the Dominican Republic. This is the only location that Danielle and I didn't have an excursion booked so we figured we would just take the Tender to the shore and see what we could find.
Once ashore we hadn't gone 20 steps before a nice young couple came up to us and asked if we had booked an excursion yet and said they were looking for other people to join them for an impromptu tour. It ended up just being the four of us on a private tour of the beautiful National Park area across the bay.
This shot was from our time travelling up river a bit into the chaos of the mangroves. It was a bit tricky getting a non-blurry shot from a moving boat in a pretty dark area but thankfully I got a few sharp ones that captured the awesome color of the water and the complex roots of the mangrove trees.
