Northerns lights at Uppsala Cathedral, Sweden
Rarely do you see the northern lights this far south, and especially not this strong over an illuminated city. This night there was an explosion in the sky and the northern lights could be seen all over Sweden.
I live in the very center of Uppsala, and this huge cathedral is only a couple of hundred meter away. I positioned myself up at the castle which is directly south from the cathedral, giving me a nice view towards the north.
You could see the green aurora playing across the sky, but not with the incredible patterns that you get sometimes. However I managed to capture a pretty nicely colored sling just above the two towers of the church.
