This young Red-tailed hawk was perched on a fence post inside Anahuac NWR along the main road. If you've ever tried to photograph birds up close, much less raptors, you know they take flight before you can even get your camera and lens pointed at them. Not this guy. He just sat there as the four of us rolled up to him. Everyone got a good shot of him.
