Between the years 1680 and 1906 the Swedish National bank was located within these two sturdy buildings. When "Södra bancohuset", to the left, was built it was one of the first of it's kind in Europe to be purpose built as a bank building.
The arcade that connects the two houses was built 1818 and was used to transport money between the two buildings.
