This is a replica of the Oval Office of the President of the United States of America.

Shot yesterday at the Ronal Reagan's Library in Simi Valley.

I was surprised that the office is fairly small and very decent for the most powerful man in the world.

The chair on display was the actual chair used by Ronald Reagan when he was the Governor of California for 8 years and as President of the United States for 8 years,. All in all, he had the chair for 16 years as the great leader.

President Reagan used the Resolute desk, which was made from the timbers of H.M.S. Resolute, an abandoned British ship discovered by an American vessel and returned to the Queen of England as a token of friendship and goodwill. When the ship was retired, Queen Victoria commissioned the desk and presented to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880.

The Resolute Desk is the famous Presidential working desk which is also used by President George W. Bush.

Reagan requested it be raised on a 2" base to accommodate his 6'2" frame so his knees will have space under the desk.

The desk was made famous by a photograph of President John F. Kennedy at work while his son, John Jr., peeked out from behind the kneehole panel.
