I'VE DECIDED TO POST ALL THE PAINTINGS DONE BY MY COUSIN DONNA SMITH GORDON. WHILE IN BIRMINGHAM THIS WEEK I TOOK PICTURES OF ALL THE PAINTINGS DONNA STILL HAS AT HER HOME. I'VE ALSO CONTACTED COUSINS TO REQUEST THEM TO SEND ME PICTURES OF ANY PAINTINGS DONE BY DONNA OR HER MOTHER, MY AUNT PAULINE SMITH.
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE POOR QUALITY OF THESE COPIES. I SHOT THEM WITH MY IPAD AND MANY ARE NOT WELL FOCUSED. ALSO, BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY WERE HUNG ON THE WALL, I WAS NOT ABLE TO SHOOT SQUARELY, TO KEEP THE PERSPECTIVE CORRECT.
I understand from Donna that she did not 'name' any paintings, so just to help keep them straight and identify them, I'm given them names descriptive of the subject. The still life ones I call SL 1 , SL 2, etc. The landscapes are designated LDSCP.
These are not presented in any chronological order, but I have placed them in somewhat of a 'subject' order.

Donna said this was her first painting, from 1970. Her early work she signed with "DG" or "Donna Gordon". While married to Bill Metaxas, she signed "Donna Metaxas".
