A little slice of space and time in the peony garden
Bed 04 Unknown 4-3cd (3cd)
The predominant peony (right foreground) is one of a number of outstanding cultivars in the collection whose identify has been lost over the years, if indeed it was ever known. When you see it in context of neighboring cultivars (in the same bed, in this case), you get a better sense of the size of the blooms, and the colors it displays compared to more conventional red, white, and pink peonies.
