Never a Good Sign

Murphy's Law states that, "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." When it comes to my family, though, you can add the phrase "especially in the month of April" to that law. I don't know what it is, but April is a cursed month for my family. It always has been. I saw this year's scourge when I arrived home from work. Two National Grid trucks and a backhoe were blocking my driveway. That's when I noticed the huge hole in my lawn. It turns out that our mail carrier smelled gas when she delivered the mail today, and notified the gas company. They arrived (very quickly, I'm told) and determined that there is indeed a gas leak in the line connecting my house to the street. Lovely. Looks like I'll be ordering takeout for dinner tonight since there's still no gas available for my stove. Tomorrow's shower will be rather chilly too, if they don't get this fixed tonight. Did I mention I hate the month of April?
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, and boost black. a levels adjustment was added in PSE.
