Upper Antelope Canyon
About 1/4 mile outside the Subway you come across "The Crack", a 4-6 inch wide crack in the riverbed with water streaming through it to the river below.

We hiked The Subway in Zion National Park from the Left Fork Trailhead, also known as hiking “from the bottom”.

The Subway is a narrow canyon that has been carved in a tunnel like fashion by the waters of North Creek. In one meander of the creek, it feels like you are in a tunnel, except for a narrow opening at the top. North Creek gently winds it’s way on the polished red rock under your feet, flowing over pools of azure and green; small cascades trickle down pour-offs and chokestones further up. The subdued light reinforces the crypt-like feeling of the Subway.

Hiking is by permit only.
