This elegant spider was positioned at the centre of his/her web. Again, moving cautiously, I am very careful to not get too close to the web. I must have tripped another 'emergency' strand, or maybe I just got too close, because off he/she went to the perimeter. This is the photo I got of this beautiful spider in her safety static stretch pose. The web was not damaged. I will have to do a better job of studying the web structure in the future so as not to trip any more of these emergency strands.
And for reference: The green leaves that you see are actually the needles from a pine tree; that should give you an idea about how small this spider is.
