"Along the Valley- American Kestrel"

Although the American Kestrel is the smallest falcon on the continent, it is the most colorful.  I spent many hours this spring watching the Pembina Valley raptor migration, and was inspired to paint this agile migrant with an evening sun lighting its brilliant tail feathers.
