Emily joined me at work today so she could have some internet. Amanda started at West Oak today too, so we went and visited her for coffee. It’s so cool that she lives in town now! She moved in after her shift and is officially here now. Woohoo!
Our new light bulbs came in the mail for the kitchen globes and Sputnik lights–we had to replace the ones we got originally because dude they were SO YELLOW. That stuff looks way better now.
Emily and I drove to Southlake after work to get somebody to look at my iMac. For the past few months it’s had a problem where the monitor’s backlight doesn’t come back on when you put it to sleep. After spending a couple hours on the phone with Apple Support during a hailstorm, I finally had to take the thing in. A dude named Brad helped me out but said I couldn’t take pictures inside because I would steal all of Apple’s secrets.
Back in Denton, Emily and I tried to hang up the other Sputnik light. I took down the original light, but when it came time to remove the mounting bracket, the screws holding it in were more stripped than I’ve ever seen a screw before. And they’re so tight I can’t get them to budge at all. I tried a wrench, I tried the rubber band trick, tape...I even super glued a drill bit into the hole, but no luck! I’ll have to take another swing at it tomorrow. At least our nightstands came. We got those built!
