Ahna helped me shoot the crap out of the Union today. We spent all morning gathering footage there, only to take a break in the middle of the day so we could attend the commencement rehearsal at Apogee. They’ve got the white tiles laid out again, just like last year. They are a bit dirtier this time around, though. It was super windy today too, and everything on the field kept blowing over. A crew of people were out there resetting chairs that had blown over, and just as they would finish up, a gust of wind would knock them all back down like dominos. The white is all really bad for the eyes, by the way. Everyone there was squinting like crazy.
I tried to get some work done on my iMac this afternoon, and I found out that every time I exported video via Media Encoder, the screen would freak out and try to shut itself off. Google tells me it’s something called a kernel panic. Whatever it is, my backlight does not turn back on after sleep anymore. Now I have another appointment with Apple tomorrow afternoon yaaaay.
Tonight I drank some high octane brews at Taps and Caps. Emily and I met with Amanda and her siblings, and Lilly! The new neighbors meet at last. I had a really good time hanging with those peeps, despite the fact that I probably made some awful jokes and had more fun than anyone else. Two words: Mead and Barleywine.
