Island of Quietude in a Sea of Tumult
Visiting popular Christmas displays can be a bit disquieting, especially if you're a person who enjoys solitude. Wall to wall people, children running wild, chattering if not actually screaming, . . . you have probably all 'been there, done that'. So little pockets of calm come as much needed antidotes, and keep one soldiering on. This was one such, at the Meijer Gardens Christmas exhibit, in the Victorian room of the conservatory. Just out of frame are statues and fountains that added to the gentle ambiance.
