05 Feb 13. A few days back you will recall I shared a color image of the approach to our house with beams of sunlight pouring across it. This is another in that series of images, this one taken immediately in front of the old 8 grade (1-8) school that my father attended in his youth. And that was it. The trees I'm thinking either weren't this big, or perhaps not there at all, and even though I should remember from my youth, I don't. But they serve to make the image what it is. For some of you I think it will be somewhat grainy, but it is the grain that makes the image work for me. I could remove it, as can any of you with noise removal who find the grain objectionable, but if you do I think you will find it less interesting. Not sure what kind of paper I'd like to print this on, but it would be one that tended to emphasize both black and white as opposed to a full gray scale.
