Clinging to the Past
Visit virtually any cemetery with Confederate veterans of the U.S. Civil War, and you'll often find flags at their graves placed by the Sons of Confederate Veterans organization. The Long Branch Cemetery on CR 398 in Eastland County, Texas shown here is typical. Seeing these flags always makes me wonder if these folks still believe in slavery and subservience of African Americans. Shot with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and Lumix G 20mm f/1.7. Raw conversion in Lightroom 5.7. Post processing in Photoshop CC 2014, onOne Perfect Effects 9 Suite and Topaz Adjust.
