Our friends Alex and Binh are engaged! Fun stuff. Alex called all sorts of family and friends and had us show up at this restaurant, where he brought Binh after proposing. Apparently she had no idea, it was kind of fun.
Oh, and of course I didn't have my fancy new camera with me... oh well.

"塗り箸でナマコをはさむ"という、難しい事を表すことわざが日本語にあるのを初めて知りました。ナマコはツルツルしていてかつとても弾力性があり、伝わるかわかりませんが、フォークで刺しても飛び抜けました。味は無味無臭！

I didn't know sea slugs are called also sea cucumbers. Some of their species do look like the vegetable. They get jiggly when cooked! and have little smell and flavor.
