"Garbo and Gilbert"
Located in the Discovery District in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, this black & white wall mural has always been one of my favorites!
The mural depicts the famous scene of Greta Garbo & John Gilbert in Hollywood's classic 1926 silent film: "Flesh and the Devil".
Fun Fact: Garbo & Gilbert had undeniable chemistry on the big screen, partially because...it was real. The pair developed a romantic relationship during filming & became a real-life couple.
"Garbo and Gilbert" was completed in 1997 by 4 students of Columbus College of Art and Design & was dedicated to the academy's graduating class of 1997.
