Remembrance in St Symphorien

Representatives from the British, Canadian and German armed forces commemorated Remebrance Sunday in St Symphorien Military Cemetary near Mons Belgium on 13th November 2016. The cemetary is home to the first and last British soldiers to die in the conflict. The event was attended by SACEUR Gen Curtis M Scaparotti and the British, Canadian, German and Irish National Military Representatives (NMRs) to the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and featured readings in the national languages.
