Second day of racing. Martha was waaay ahead of us at the second mark, but Chris picked our course like a freakin' pro, choosing a risky tack that only a couple others were taking, and it worked very well. On the downwind leg we sailed like a well-seasoned team despite having never sailed together before the previous day. We made up enough time on that leg (where one of the folks in front of us ran aground in the aggressive sailing just ahead of us) to catch Martha and beat them -- I think. PHRF ratings make my brain hurt. I was told we actually owed time to the Tbird that beat us each day. Long race, and lots of fun. Photo by Alison (who kicks ass on foredeck).
