Moonset?! Yes, the goal of this trip was to get some pictures of the full moon setting with some color in the sky from the sunrise and a nice foreground. Well, that foreground ended up in the fog and I got distracted by the colors in the sky and the patterns in the fog. So much for my planned moonset shots.
This 4-shot panorama was taken from Slacker Hill in the Marin Headlands, north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were not the only photographers there, and we all got quite the show with the fog moving in after a mostly clear night. The two towers of the GG Bridge are still clearly visible, as is Sutro Tower (at right) on San Francisco's biggest hill, downtown San Francisco and the LED-illuminated Oakland-SF Bay Bridge in the far left.
