Just over the Golden Gate Bridge the two most prominent peaks are called Hawk Hill and Slacker Hill. There's certainly nothing slacker about the hike to the peak of the latter which is where this photograph was captured from.
As for Hawk Hill, the two dark objects circling the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge are hawks for which the hill was named. It amazes me that through the immense, encompassing fog and wind, these hawks hovered perfectly still, unfazed by the Bay Area's weather pattern. Simply and diligently searching for dinner while myself and a few other photographer's enjoy the sunset and view.
